Structure of the Degree
The Inter-University Master’s in Accounting and Corporate Finance has two professional orientations that are developed in the UAL and in the UPTC, as it is described below:
COMMON MODULE (18 ECTS) (UAL and UPCT):
- Advanced financial statement analysis. Compulsory, 6 credits.
- Business Valuation and Investment Projects. Compulsory, 6 credits.
- Data Analysis and Techniques. Compulsory, 6 credits.
- Introduction to research (if research is chosen). Compulsory, 3 credits.
- A) SPECIFIC MODULE, ANALYSIS AND DIAGNOSIS (24 ECTS) (to choose elective courses):
- Financing and capital structure. Compulsory, 6 credits.
- Risk and business failure. Elective, 6 credits.
- Strategic Direction and Management Control. Elective, 6 credits.
- Accounting Information Management. Compulsory, 6 credits.
- International Accounting Harmonization and new regulations. Elective, 6 credits.
- Business corporate operations. Elective, 6 credits.
- B) SPECIFIC MODULE, STRATEGY AND VALUATION (24 ECTS) (elective courses to be chosen):
- New advances in business information for decision making. Compulsory, 6 credits.
- Capital Structure and Treasury Management. Elective, 6 credits.
- Mathematics for Business Valuation. Compulsory, 6 credits.
- Strategic Direction and Management Control. Elective, 6 credits.
- Business Corporate Operations. Elective, 6 credits.
- International Accounting Harmonization and New Regulations. Elective, 6 credits.
WORK PLACEMENT/RESEARCH MODULE (18 ECTS) (to be chosen):
- Business Work Placement + Master’s Thesis. Compulsory, 12 c + 6 c.
- Research project+introduction to research. Compulsory 15 c + 3 c.
