Structure of the Degree

This proposal establishes four modules:

  • Basic Sciences (60 ECTS).
  • Nursing Sciences (84 ECTS).
  • Elective (choice of 6 ECTS).
  • Internships and Bachelor's Dissertation (90 ECTS)

The Basic Sciences module is taught between the first and second years and consists of 9 subjects:

Psychosocial Sciences Applied to Nursing Care
Physiopathological Processes
Biochemistry, Food, Nutrition and Dietetics
Research Methodology
Microbiology, Biophysics and Health Promotion
Clinical Procedures and Safety
Clinical Pharmacology

 

The module of Nursing Sciences lists the minimum skills required for a Nurse Responsible for General Care. The module strengthens and deepens the contents as regards the needs demanded by society and transmitted by the social agents included in the Degree Committee.

The Practicum and the Bachelor's Dissertation module consists of 7 practicum of 12 ECTS each (84 ECTS), in compliance with the European Directive 2005/36/EC, and 6 ECTS respectively.

Elective

The elective module offers 6 subjects of 3 ECTS each, of which the student will choose two. Elective ECTS can be recognised for participating in cultural, sports, student representation, supportive and collaborative university activities according to Royal Decree 1393/2007.

Students in this bachelor's degree may cover their elective load:

  • a) Taking the elective subjects included in this report.
  • b) Proving their participation in cultural, sports, student representation, supportive and collaborative activities as it is set out in article 12.8 of the Royal Decree 1393/2007 with the limits established in such regulations, and in accordance with the procedure established in the Credit Recognition and Transfer Rules of the University of Almeria.
