ATTENTION: Observations: Academic Year 2020-21

In the 2019-20 academic year, changes in the degree report have been approved that may affect enrolment in some of the 2020-21 course subjects.

The subjects that have been modified are those listed below:

Subjects moving to the first semester: 71062111. Photoreactors and Photobioreactors (4.5 ECTS, compulsory).

  • 71063112. Solar Photovoltaic Systems (6 ECTS, compulsory).

Subjects moving to the second semester:

  • 71061103. Thermal storage and other Concentrated Solar Energy applications (4.5 ECTS, compulsory).
  • 71062106. Solar Energy and Agriculture (3 ECTS, compulsory).
  • 71062104. Solar Energy and Building (3 ECTS, compulsory).

img_7106004.jpgThe proposed Master's Degree will allow its graduates to deepen their knowledge of the various technologies and applications that currently exist for solar energy, this is in contrast to other universities that generally cover the whole range of renewable energies (solar, wind, hydraulic...). In addition, one of the distinguishing features of this programme is counting on the researchers from the Solar Platform of Almeria, which is the principal research center worldwide in solar concentration technologies, as well as its facilities and those of the CIESOL Joint Centre, where one can do internships.

The location of the Solar Platform of Almeria (PSA) in our province, which bases its research on international activities that have a global impact, provides an exceptional framework for the proposed master's course, especially in offering the perfect environment to test the knowledge one acquires during the programme.
