The Master’s in English Studies has two possible pathways:
Pathway 1: Professional Applications
Pathway 2: Research and Teaching
This Master's comprises three modules. Students must compulsorily take the subjects of module 1, and, depending on the pathway that they choose, they will compulsorily take the subjects of module 2 (pathway 2) or those of module 3 (pathway 1).
The Master's is organised in two semesters. During these two semesters, students must compulsorily take 30 credits, but they may take all the 60 credits in only one year. The subjects which are common for both Master’s pathways will begin in the first semester, that is to say, those belonging to Module 1. Also, some specific subjects of the chosen pathway may be taken, that is to say, those belonging to Module 2 and 3. In the second semester, the rest of specific subjects of the chosen pathway will be taken, that is to say, those belonging to Module 2 and 3. In the last Master's stage, students will carry out a master’s thesis or a master's thesis together with a business internships (Practicum), depending on the pathway they choose (for more information, see point 5).
