Summary
The course will address recent advances in process control techniques involving different time scales and optimization approaches.
Description
The main topics that the course will cover are:
- Extremum Seeking Control (ESC) and data-driven approaches for static optimization.
- Model-based approaches to static optimization.
- Optimization in the control layer: Self-optimizing control.
- Input transformations (nonlinear decoupling, feedforward and linearization), selectors (strict constraint control) and split-range control (split-range).
