Python is a high-level programming language that enjoys great popularity thanks to the simplicity of its syntax and the variety of disciplines in which it is used, such as data science, machine learning, computer vision, geospatial analysis, web programming or bioinformatics.

Description

The Python language is powerful, versatile and easy to learn. These characteristics, together with the existence of numerous free libraries, have made Python a fundamental tool for research.
The objective of the course is to enable attendees to develop Python programs that are applicable in their academic activity. Basic concepts of the language syntax such as data types, control flow, functions and object-oriented programming will be covered, as well as the main scientific computing libraries, all from an eminently practical approach.
