Summary
In economics, it is well known that the distribution of individual or family income decays asymptotically as a power law for the richest sector of the population and exponentially for the middle and low income sectors. This distribution is universal for different societies and countries, but it appears also in other complex non-economic systems. We will talk about it and try to draw minimal conclusions about these empirical facts.
