The Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration and Management is composed of 240 ECTS, organised in 12 modules distributed in the following way: the first two modules provide with the basic training in Public Administration and Management (60 ECTS); two modules study in depth the knowledge of the Administrations and public territorial organisations (30 ECTS); three modules are conducted to the specific knowledge of legal-administrative, economic and human resources management (60 ECTS) and other three to the management instruments and techniques (60 ECTS). Finally, the two last modules are conducted to elective training (6 ECTS), to an intense internship training (18 ECTS) and to the carrying-out of the Bachelor's Dissertation (6 ECTS).
The Curriculum is structured in the following 12 modules, all of them are compulsory except for module 11:
- Module 1. Basic Training for Public Administration and Management (36 ECTS), comprises the following courses: “Fundamentals of Law”, “Political Economy”, “ Introduction to Political Sciences”, “Sociology”, “Introduction to Statistics” and “Introduction to Accounting”.
- Module 2. Other Basic Training for Public Administration and Management (24 ECTS), comprises the following courses: “Constitutional Law”, “Applied Information Technology”, “Administrative Law” and “Theory of organisations”.
- Module 3. The Public Administrations (12 ECTS) with the subjects of “Administrative Structures” and “Economics of Public Sector”.
- Module 4. Management Instruments (24 ECTS) comprises 4 subjects: “Information Management”, “Techniques and Methods of Public Management”, “Techniques of Social Research” y “Electronic Administration”.
- Module 5. Administrative Legal Management (18 ECTS), comprises 3 subjects: “Information and Administrative Documentation”, “Administrative-Legal Management I” and “Administrative-Legal Management II”.
- Module 6. Financial-Economic Management (30 ECTS) comprises 5 subjects: “Financial Management”, “Budgetary Management”, “Tax Law”, “Public Accounting” and “State Tax System”.
- Module 7. Human Resources Management (12 ECTS) that is composed of the subjects “Public Employment Systems” and “Human Resources Management”.
- Module 8. Instrumental Techniques for Public Management (18 ECTS) that is composed of the subjects “European Policies Management”, “Electronic Administration” and “Analysis and Evaluation of Public Sector Policies”.
- Module 9. Complementary Techniques for Public Management (18 ECTS), comprises the subjects “Labour and Social Security Law”, “Private Law applied to Public Management” and “Public Management Control”.
- Module 10. Public Organisations Law (18 ECTS), distributed in 3 subjects: “Public International Law and European Union Law”, “Law of the Autonomous Communities” and “Local Legislation”.
- Module 11. (6 ECTS) which includes two elective subjects: “Gender Equality” and “Professional Ethics and Responsibilities”.
- Module 12. Internships and Bachelor's Dissertation (24 ECTS). To take this Module and carrying out the internships and the Bachelor's Dissertation, student must successfully complete 75% of the credits corresponding with the first four modules (Basic Training, Public Administrations and Management Instruments).
