Important:
The Master's in Computer Science and Engineering Technologies and Applications has as its objectives:
- Comprehensive academic training in the field of Computer Science and Engineering as a continuation of the Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering, offering practical training to meet the demand in the ICT sector.
- To constitute the training period of UAL’s Computer Science and Engineering doctoral programme for those graduates who wish to prepare their Doctoral Thesis.
This proposal replaces and adapts the current master's degrees offered at the Higher School of Engineering in the field of Information Technology, such as the Master’s in Computer Engineering and the Master’s in Advanced Industrial Computing.
The benefits of a postgraduate training offer linked to the Computer Engineering profession are multiple: on the one hand, it establishes a continuation of studies to graduates of Bachelor's Degrees linked to the Technical Engineer profession. On the other, it covers the field of professional practice as well as areas of scientific and academic knowledge, consolidated and widely extended, both in Spain and in other reference countries.
Suggested profile for newly enrolled students
The student profile for this master's is directed at university graduates who have the competencies associated with the Computer Engineering Graduate profession, and who wish to acquire and develop their Computer Engineering competencies.
The master's is aimed at graduates of the computer engineering degree taught at the Higher School of Engineering, graduates in Computer Engineering, and former degrees (diplomados, licenciados, ingenieros técnicos and ingenieros superiores), although it is not closed to other degrees.
The applicant's access profile shall be that of students with the basic scientific knowledge necessary to understand, interpret, analyse and explain the knowledge of their field of study.
In this way, the degree is primarily aimed at technical engineers/computer engineering graduates who wish to specialize in computer science technologies.
People who wish to practice the profession of computer engineer, either freelance or working for others.
It is recommended that students can read scientific and professional texts in English with ease, and can understand audio-visual material in English.
