Recognition and Credit Transfer

{{pre.error[0].message}}

Article 10 of Royal Decree 822/2021 of 28 September (BOE 29/09/2021) establishing the organization of official university education indicates that, in order to make student mobility effective, within and outside the national territory, universities shall draw up and make public their regulations on the credit recognition and transfer system, subject to the general criteria laid down therein.

General Information

In the Bachelor’s and Master’s studies, initially promoted by Royal Decree 1393/2007, of 29 October, the foundations of the academic figures of the Recognition and Credit Transfer currently collected by Royal Decree 822/2021 of 28 September were already established.

Recognition is the acceptance by the University of Almeria of the credits that, having been obtained from official higher education courses, in the same or in another University, can be counted in other distinct courses studied at our University for the purpose of obtaining an official degree. Credits from other official higher education courses, the University’s own degrees, or from work and/or professional experience may also be recognized.

Transfer is the recording, in the official academic accreditation documents, of the studies followed by each student, of all the credits obtained in official higher education previously followed at the University of Almeria or at other EHEA universities, that have not led to the student obtaining an official degree. Therefore, they are credits obtained in other previous student records that have not been recognized.

Previously Approved Qualifications

In this section you can consult the updated catalogue of all the subjects and activities whose qualification has been previously approved (after examining the requests of other students). This form is only available in Spanish.

Select the home University, the Studies taken at the home University, and the Studies taken at the host University. Below are the scenarios you will find having made your inquiry:

  • If you do not find your University or previous study, it means that there is no precedent as yet at UAL (you will be the first student to apply).
  • If you find your University and degree, you will see a list of the subjects that will be recognized or refused. It may also be the case that you have taken some subject(s) that are not listed (you will be the first student to apply for these subjects since, in the previous cases studied, the students did not take the same subjects as you).
