Attention:

It is recommended that students who wish to enrol in the professional branch of the Master’s (Specialisations in "General Management" and "Management and Managerial Development") should consider their previous degree and the knowledge they possess when selecting the specialisation within this branch. In this sense, it is recommended that those students who have completed studies related to Business Management (e.g., the Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management, the Bachelor's Degree in Business Sciences, the Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, the Bachelor's Degree in Economics, or the Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance, etc.), enrol in the "General Management" specialisation. Conversely, students who do not come from degrees related to Business Management and who, therefore, do not have any prior knowledge of the different areas of knowledge (finance, marketing, accounting, and business organization), are recommended to enrol in the "Management and Managerial Development" specialisation.

img_7084003.jpgThe Master's Degree in Business Management and Economics from the University of Almeria is a Postgraduate Programme that is oriented toward an academic specialisation in the direction and management of all types of organizations, thus accommodating the students’ interests both in research and in the practical management of companies.

A solid academic background and a highly practical perspective on business management and economics will be provided, which distinguishes between two professional mentions and a third research mention:

  • Specialisation in Management and Managerial Development. This specialisation is designed for students who require training and competencies to work in management positions in any type of organization, especially small and medium-sized companies, or in the different functional business areas. The aim is to develop the student’s precise capacities for decision-making, managing change, innovation, business growth and strategic direction at the organisational level or in one of the functional business areas.
  • Specialisation in General Management. This specialisation provides a range of competencies and skills to deal with more specific issues of general management or senior management. It is aimed at students with previous knowledge of economics and business management, who want to support their decisions with rigorous analysis and research of the available evidence.
  • Specialisation in Research. It is aimed at students interested in economics and business management research.
