Structure of the Degree

The Master's is structured in 4 modules (40 ECTS) in addition to the Internships Module and the Master’s Thesis (20 ECTS).

  • I: Mathematics and Reality,
  • IIa: Advanced Techniques,
  • IIb(1): Mathematics and New Technologies,
  • IIb(2): Applications of Mathematics.

All the subjects offered are elective and are grouped in four modules, I: Mathematics and Reality, IIa: Advanced Techniques, IIb(1): Mathematics and New Technologies, IIb(2): Applications of Mathematics. The fifth Module is the practicum and the master’s thesis.

To obtain the Master’s degree, students must successfully complete 40 credits among the subjects of modules I, IIa, IIb(1), Ilb(2) and 20 credits of the Practicum Module and the Master’s Thesis. The following choices are recommended in accordance with the orientation chosen by the student:

  • Research Orientation: Module I and 24 credits of Module IIa.
  • Orientation: Teaching Mathematics: Module I and 24 credits of Module IIb(1).
  • Orientation: Mathematics Applications: Module I and 24 credits of Module IIb(2).
