The programme offers a total of 96 ECTS to cover the 60 ECTS required, including the Practicum and the Master’s Thesis of 12 ECTS. It is organised in an initial compulsory module, common for all the 18 ECTS three different pathways of 24 ECTS, in addition to the internships and master’s thesis.
The compulsory module of the master's has 4 subjects, each one has 4.5 ECTS, which will be taught during the first semester for all the students enrolled.
Likewise, the Master's is organised in three specialisations:
Students may choose a specialisation that will complete their training and the required elective credits (24 ECTS) taking at least 6 ECTS among the subjects offered in the other specialisations. However, these three pathways described must not be compulsory followed in a linear way by the students enrolled in the master’s degree, they may opt for not achieving an specialisation if they are enrolled transversally among the different pathways of the master's. They can choose subjects from the different specialisations and form their own curriculum in the way they deem more appropriate for their training, whether they prefer consolidating some knowledge or putting other knowledge they already have aside given their initial training. In this case, student will not receive a mention of the specialisation taken.
The master's will finish in the second part of the second semester with the carrying-out of Internships, in which students may choose to carry out internships in companies or institutions or in the UAL laboratories. In both cases, they will be focused and supervised towards the carrying-out and presentation of the Master’s Thesis (12 ECTS).
