International Cooperation at the University of Almeria
In line with its commitment to meet Agenda 2030's Sustainable Development Goals, and being aware of the importance of its role as a promoter of initiatives contributing to a peaceful culture, eradicating inequalities and promoting sustainable development, the University of Almeria implements strategic policies through the Vice-Rectorate for Internationalization that encourage members of the university community to participate in international cooperation activities with less developed countries.
This commitment is reflected in UAL's International Cooperation Plan (abbreviated to PPCI in Spanish), which finances various actions, including cooperation and awareness-raising projects, aid to refugees, training and mobility grants, as well as the International Volunteering Programme.
Grants paid by other entities, such as the Andalusian and Spanish Agencies for International Development Cooperation (abbreviated to AACID and AECID in Spanish, respectively), are managed by the International Relations Service, which executes cooperation projects.
